Fancy Nancy Series
What could be fancier than Christmas?
Presents with elegant wrapping paper, festive decorations, Christmas cookies with sprinkles—and who could forget the tree? After all, there is no such thing as too much tinsel. Ooh la la! This year, Nancy is especially excited about decorating the Christmas tree. She bought a brand-new sparkly tree topper with her own money and has been waiting for Christmas to come. But when things don't turn out the way Nancy planned, will Christmas still be splendiferous?
In this merriest of stories from bestselling duo Jane O'Connor and Robin Preiss Glasser, Nancy proves once again that a little fancying up can go a long, festive way!

Jane O'Connor is the author of more than thirty books for children, including the Nina, Nina Ballerina stories, illustrated by DyAnne DiSalvo, and the Fancy Nancy picture book series. Ms. O'Connor lives with her family in ever-posh New York City.

Diary of A Wimpy Kid Series
Most Helpful Customer Reviews:
About the book: Instead of a novel, about half of the book is a workbook of sorts -- including survey pages (like: "Five things NOBODY knows about you"), themed drawing pages (like under the heading: "The WORST NIGHTMARE you ever had"), unfinished comic pages (in the typical Wimpy Kid style, where you finish the comic or add text to the balloons). The other half of the book is lined blank journal pages.
We bought this for my 9-year old son because it was a 'Wimpy Kid' title. Despite that, I wasn't expecting him to do more than page through it a couple times, because although he loves the Wimpy Kid series, he has never gone out of his way to write anything more than has been absolutely necessary for school.
To my surprise, my son loves this book. He's had this book about 8 months now and continues to come back to it. He's drawn his own cartoons, filled in many of the surveys, and has written numerous pages of journal entries. Before this Do-It-Yourself book he had no interest in writing; now he comes back to the book often to add to it.
This book has opened my son to the world of journaling. What's more, when he's grown it'll give him a snapshot of what a funny, goofy kid he was.
And while he begged for this one, I relucted to get it since "do-it-yourself" translated to empty journal for me. But I relented and bought it for him for X-mas when the price dropped because I knew he wanted it badly. And I'm not disappointed. I read through it and while it is a do-it-yourself, it isn't an empty journal. Sure there are blank pages with suggestions, but theres a lot more and it was definitly worth buying. For anyone who loves this series, this book is a must and definitly worth the price!
My son has read and re-read and re-re-read all of the Wimpy Kid books. He likes the idea of writing and this book keeps him doing it. I pulled the book off the shelf today and found that he had been keeping a sporadic journal - "don't call it a diary" - for months. While this book is probably only 1/4 full of pre-printed stories, the pages of blank, lined paper are well worth the cost.
